Doctor Visit Update

I saw my doctor today who did my Thoracic Outlet surgery in April. I was hoping that he had some thoughts on my pain. He felt very confident that a lot of my pain is due to my body getting use to living without all the stuff he took out of me. He thinks it is more muscular than neurological. He recommended a chiropractor that might help me.

My doctor is a very confident and I always walk out of the office feeling like he knows what he is talking about. It still leaves the big question as to why I am having such horrible headaches. I go back to the Brain and Spine specialist on Monday and will talk to him some more about my headaches.

I have 2 more days left of school. They found a replacement teacher for my class. I believe she will do a wonderful job with the preschoolers. I am really going to miss those sweet 3 year olds. I have come to enjoy them and love them so much. I hope to spend time in the classroom helping with crafta when I feel good so that I can still be around them. But for now, I just physically can not do my job. It just wasn't fair to the kids or my family. The preschoolers got a very tired, always in pain teacher who was usually on some kind of medication and my family got the worst of me at home due to my long, painful days at school. I am praying that we can keep our four children at the school and that I can generate enough income from home to pay the bill. I am thinking through ways that I can make money at home.

I can't explain just how much peace I am feeling lately about all my pain. I don't know if this is long term or not but I know that God has a plan in all of this for He is God!

In my distress may I seek Your favor, O Lord my God and humber myself greatly before You, the god of my father, for I know that You are God. (2 Chronicles 33:12-13)

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. (John 14:27)

Hi Kristin

Payson Flattery is a great chiropracter and like I said a while back he also has a trick up his sleeve that most chiros don't have, he's a doctor too - so he can administer shots and do small surgeries - so that means he also does something called prolotherapy - injection therapy with excellent success at eliminating chronic pain (back, neck, shoulder, knees, etc. all benefit greatly).

Just wanted to remind you of that. I gave you the brochure already that explained it...he is in Redmond off of 17th st.

He goes all over the NW teaching Docs about this...he's really supposed to be a local expert in the field of chronic pain.

i'm glad your doc is confident. I'm glad that you won't be teaching anymore. It cut WAY too much into your social life. I miss you!
